About Me

I have considerable experience of working with a wide range of difficulties such as anxiety, depression, low self-worth, sexuality and gender issues, relationship issues, grief/loss, work-related stress, abuse, existential matters and other life-changing decisions/events.

As I’m trained in both counselling and coaching, I can help you to achieve your goals, be more successful and make positive changes in a structured, dynamic and practical way. You can opt for either therapy or we can use elements of both approaches. We will discuss this together as appropriate.

I consider myself to be a calm, empathic and spiritual person. I enjoy walking alongside clients to help them explore and understand their thoughts, feelings and concerns on a deeper level using friendly curiosity, compassion and challenge.

Although, I mainly work in a person-centred way, I use whatever counselling and coaching styles will be most helpful to you. I believe it is important to uncover the root cause of issues (rather than just focusing on the symptoms or taking things at face value) and to acquire the necessary insight and tools to empower yourself and make long lasting changes. Therefore, working together, I aim to help you to understand yourself better, to find your own solutions and coping strategies, and to achieve your aspirations and a better quality of life. We will work at your pace, and be guided by what you choose to talk about.

I have worked in an NHS setting and currently offer counselling / coaching part time at a local university alongside my private practice. These experiences have given me the privilege to work with people from a wide range of ages, backgrounds, cultures and circumstances.

I am a Registered and Accredited Member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists). I adhere to their code of ethics, which includes on-going supervision and continuing professional development.

I also offer Reiki (energetic healing). Please ask me for more information.
